The only LED's on the ES are the tag lights. Tails and brakes are old-school.

really liking the rear look of the '11 avalon. we get compliments left and right about it's slight upgrade of the rear. it doesn't feel old like the previous generations, and it's a nice change between occassionally driving the avalon and my ride. feels good, solid, roomy, and still quite luxurious. parents love the rear leg room in it! my only gripe is the horrible selection of interior leather colors. this MY only has a grey as the darkest option available, which seems too light for my liking.

Those lights do look good. If I recall from recent pics and videos, the upcoming Hyundai Azera and new VW Passat will have a similar look when lit.

Saw a '11 Avalon from the rear on the highway the other night. At a distance I did not know what car it was but I could immediately tell it was a premium car. It really looks a lot more expensive than it is with this revised design. Great road presence. Those pictures in the first page don't do it justice. from me.

I'm in love with this car
I have no idea How Toyota has done it but they just made the Avalon look so beautiful at night. Honestly I've never ever considered the Avalon in my car buying list even at the bottom, but one night when i just saw some young guys blast past me with those beautiful led tail lamps glowing. I just fell in love with her.
I just had to go to the showroom to test drive her.And you know what, with such an handsome engine(0-60 estimated 6.2 secs),an awesome 660 watt JBL music system,I don't think any other car can be as good as the Avalon in this price range.
Whats more surprising is that,I'm just 27 years old. Yes I'm not the matured guy you all might be thinkin about. So guy's please stop calling it a car only for the oldies. I believe Toyota has done some magic with this one

Not a bad refresh even though its pretty mild. I think an all new version would be nice. Whats the deal with Toyota and the new matt wood finish. The Venza, highlander, and the Avalon have it and it looks cheap and very low end. Wood finish should be smooth and shiny

I agree with I8ABMR that the interior wood could be better.
