After besting the Nardo lap time for a full size SUV with its Cayenne (which was quickly beaten by the Brabus GLK V-12), Techart has revealed it has broken the record at Germany's Sachsenring by nearly four and a half seconds in its formidable GTstreet RS. The record run was part of Autobild Sportscars' comparison tests.

Based on the 997-series Porsche GT2, the turbocharged sports car boasts an incredible 690 hp and 634 lb-ft of torque, or 160-hp and 129 lb-ft more than stock. Safe to say, Techart's beast goes like stink and as such, managed to easily record a 1-min./34.94-sec. lap time around one of Germany's most well known circuits. If you're wondering, 62 mph comes in a scant 3.5 sec. from a standstill, the tuner claims.

But of course, all this speed and uniqueness doesn't come without a hefty price tag. On top of the GT2 $194,000 base price, the interior alone with bespoke Alcantara and carbon fiber bits costs a whopping $29,974. Engine and performance work? Try a cool $94,942. It takes $111,643 to get the entire exterior look down, which all means you probably won't see a GT Street RS cruising your block anytime soon.
