Also a small RWD based CUV could share engines with the IS and have an "F" version as well. A larger than RX, RWD based CUV akin to the old LF-X concept could share engines with the GS, and could steal buyers from the BMW X5. All in all a few new CUVs could be a win win for Lexus.

It's true that the RX is doing well, but offering a smaller sportier CUV as an option to consumers wouldn't be bad. It'd be just like how Lexus introduced the IS to compliment their best selling sedan the ES years ago.

The last thing Lexus has to worry about are it's SUV sales. The RX runs this market, everyone else is playing catchup. It is BMW's 3.

Or one could just buy a BMW. Lexus has enough SUVs/CUVs, and really they would really irk me to know ends if they tried to do the retarded bit of putting an "F" badge on any of them. A sports/Touring package for the RX might be nice, but really.... I'd prefer (pretty sure most other too) they invest in getting the SC and a small coupe/roadster done.

But I do agree Lexus needs a new SC, and a few Coupes, and maybe a few more convertibles.
But for comparisons sake, Lexus has only 1 CUV in their lineup and most of the competition has 3 (and BMW will soon have 6 if you include their tall GT models). BMW also is making M versions of all their CUVs so I don't see a problem if Lexus did the same. It would also help amortize the costs of the expensive high powered F engines if they were shared with not only sedans, but CUVs, and Coupes etc.
