I'm thinking about the girl who was enlightening me about her newish VW Jetta. The conversation went something like this.

"Yes, I knew that Jettas had problems when I bought the car with electricals systems and doors getting jammed. Its because VW put all of their money into the engine (2.5L) so that it will run forever. You would just think that they would have figured out the other stuff since VW has been making cars for like 9 years."

AHHHH!!!

My favorite was a woman who asked a friend, "I've driven my new car 30,000 miles now. Do you think it's time for an oil change?"

Maybe she can post a pic of the 710 cap inside her Lexus R8's engine bay.

Could just be a typo. Maybe she was thinking RX, but type R8. I know the keys aren't close, but I have done that typo thing many times. Thinking one thing but typing in something totally different.

Exactly, much ado over nothing, look at the rest of her spelling.

Hate to say it but most women don't know ***** about cars except the basic needs to get around town and how to drive them. The latter I can't agree with in some cases.....my wife for instance.

When I purchased my ES 330 about a year and a half ago, my coworkers and boss thought I must have spent $50-60k for the car. They were stunned when I told them I paid $21k. People have no clue in general.

I think people just see the Lexus badge and automatically assume having one means you must be filthy rich, or selling drugs on the side
