Default Ferrari VS Lamborghini..... who is more "exotic"

I was thinking of this while driving home today. In my mind I would have to say the Lamborghini is more exotic. They are from a smaller lower volume company that makes cars that look like spaceships. I am sure that no person who knows cars would say anything negative about ferrari since they seem to define style and speed, BUT I am sure none of us will forget the first time they saw a Lamborghini with the doors opened. Lamborghini seems to define exotic car. Everything from the style to the huge power to the ultra exclusive models. Ferrari is unmatched for its racing heritage but I am sure if you showed a Ferarri 599 GTB and a Lamborghini Murceilago to a class of 4th graders who know nothing about car, racing, or heritage and they will tell you the Lamborghini is the more exotic of the two. ( they probably wouldn't word it that way )

What do you guys think????

I agree with you. There's something about the style of lamborghinis that just defines "exotic." Honestly I think that's the key difference here.

Ferraris have a relatively conservative styling compared to lamborghinis.

The raging bull definitely takes the cake.

Not saying Ferrari isn't but Lambo is just another level.

I feel the same way. Ferrari is Ferrari. You cant anything from them but the very wild lines of the Lamborghini, doors that make it look like a spaceship, and even the symbol that seems to charge the Ferrari stallion ( cavalino rampante ) off into the background.

I agree with everything you said I8ABMR & I would add that to me Exotic means having many drawbacks as well as advantages. Car design is full of compromises, Exotic can mean compromised: comfort, ground clearance, ergonomics, fuel economy, longevity, maintenance intervals, safety equipment etc.

I like the Ferrari. Cool design with nice contour. Lambo is a bit too plain with me. Too flat... Just my opinion tho...

well lambo does have a lot of audi input these days... that is actually good, as it makes their cars less quirky and more reliable... but maybe less egzotic?

to a layperson like me... lambo

i'm sure it would be mostly those who cling to numbers that would take a ferrari over the lambo... to be honest, i don't care how quick either one is, because i would be the going 20 mph so everyone could see me

after seeing the national geographic ultimate factories on the lambo murc. SV i say lambo.. don't get me wrong both companies use exotic materials and extreme craftsmanship. but lamborghini seems to be on a smaller scale as far as the entire company and the people who assemble the vehicles and the size of the production runs which is why i believe they are more exotic. another thing is just seeing the cars on the road i have seen 5x more ferrari's than lamborghini's.

oh and i add this too.. for me most of the designs i see by ferrari look more like race cars and lambo's just look like nothing on the road with their extreme angles super wide aggressive stances and such... -----> reventon..

Lambo is more definitive of the typical person's impression of an exotic. Its styling is more biased towards aggressive and unique appearance, while Ferrari nowadays are usually styled to create downforce and stability, without using unslightly wings.

For exotic performance, Ferrari.

For exotic presence, Lambo.
