Yeah my wife acts like I'm crazy every time I mention a rattle. It's like she can't even hear it. I remember once my dad was mentioning to my mom how her 05 Camry rattles more than he'd hoped it would and she seemed confused. So he explained in more detail and she seemed to vaguely recollect out it made a little noise if she went over a bump but then she said "well that's normal, all cars do that". He tried explaining that not all cars do that and some cars make way more noise than others. She acted like he was crazy.

Well, your mom was right, anything that is made up of hundreds of thousands of different parts will eventually rattles or squeak. I guess I do expect my brand new car to have no rattles for a year or 2. If I bought a used car, that would be a different story.

So wait a minute, you own an ES not a 3GS? B/c You have posted in the 3GS forum for years now complaining over and over about the car like you own one. We never saw pics of it.

What year ES?

So your rattles are from an ES with 85k miles on it?

Haha i'd have to agree with Mike on this one. If the rattles are really bugging you, why not sell the car and get something else? December is a great month to buy a new car.

Today's computer-welded unibodies are so strong, and resist bending/flexing so well, that they usually don't rattle even at 85K miles. The rattles this poster is talking about are (probably) coming from trim or hardware that has loosened up a little with age.

Infiniti also does a very nice M line.

Buy a new Benz, very solid (with a stiffer than average unibody structure).

There is a vault like feeling in many (not all) German vehicles....

Can we mix German solidity with Japanese electronics.

i'll give you the satisfaction of getting a response from me this once.

I own both an ES and GS350.

now get off my back. this pestering is getting annoying.

if you're still obsessed with the issue, you can search my thousands of posts where I mention my GS350. and I even posted a pic or two of it a couple years ago.
You'll have to find it, if you care enough.

Is that supposed to be some kind of taunt at my M45? Can you please grow up? If it makes you feel any better, my former G35 coupe had a rattle in the dash And as a BMW owner, i don't mind the fact that infiniti has an M line. ///M is different from M

donnojack, don’t you have the only GS350 coupe Lexus ever made? It was in your signature until you took it off

Don't fret buddy. I am still waiting on pics to compare wheel gaps. Hell, we should have a thread to post registration & insurance to see who owns the cars too

It is not pestering. Considering how much you have complained about rattles and complained about the car, complained about pretty much anything Lexus, quite a FEW of us were wondering where is the car. You have now clearly stated you have an ES and GS 350, which you never said before and now I will drop it.

Don't disappoint people saying you have a "M" as they will think BMW. Say M45, so people will ask you "what is that".

The only one disappointed is you. People that can buy both don't care. I could've bought an ///M but my 335i with JB3 is faster

rattles... yeah there's an annoying one in my 2GS, the rear middle seat belt, it's not the cover, it's the stuff inside the retracting assembly that I don't want to fiddle about.

OOO, anyone saw the new Infiniti M pictures? was it on popular mech this month, it looked pretty good and it saids it'll have over 400 hp. SWEEEEEETT
