39 GS hybrids, and 21 LS hybrids were sold for the month.

That is a huge jump actually for GS hybrid sales compared to October 2008. LS hybrid sales are down, but that is to be expected as almost all vehicles in the prestige luxury segment are down.

Also 1,407 Camry hybrids and 700 Highlander hybrids were sold for the month.

It's quite amazing, but after the Prius the best-selling hybrids from Toyota were the HS and the RX hybrid for the month.

IRVINE, Calif., Nov. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- On the heels of its best quarter ever in company history, Kia Motors America (KMA) today announced October sales of 22,490 units, a 45.3-percent increase over the same month last year. Year to date sales totaled 261,060, a 7.2-percent increase over the same period last year. Hyundai Motor America Reports October 2009 Sales

Hyundai Leads all Automotive Brands in Market Share Growth This Year

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., Nov. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Hyundai Motor America today announced October sales of 31,005 units, a 49 percent increase compared with October 2008. Calendar year-to-date, Hyundai sales are up 4 percent. This marks the tenth consecutive month of year-over-year gains in retail market share. Hyundai leads all automotive brands in absolute market share growth, up 1.2 percentage points (from 3.1 percent to 4.3 percent) for the first ten months of this year.

"We've done a good job of selling down our 2009 model year inventory over the last few months, with about two-thirds of Hyundai car sales in October being fresh, 2010 model year vehicles," said Dave Zuchowski, vice president of sales. "With the recent encouraging economic news of a 3.5 percent GDP growth during the third quarter, the best in two years, we are looking forward to the final two months of the year. We have our all-new Tucson launching at the end of this year and the 2011 Sonata coming early next year, so we are excited about the terrific new products we'll be filling our dealerships with."

Genesis continued its strong growth trend with sales of 1,850, a 65 percent increase. The fuel-efficient Accent and Elantra had significant increases of 106 percent and 225 percent respectively versus 2008 while the Santa Fe delivered a solid sales gain of 70 percent leading up to the introduction of the even more fuel-efficient face lifted 2010 model coming early next year.

Wow over 39K F-Series sold, unbelievable!

E-Class sales were also amazing, over 6,000! I really like the new E-Class redesign, great to see it doing well.

Prius sales were very solid, Venza sales are consistent.

ES and IS continue to be very solid, HS sales could be better, but are supply limited.

Civic sales don't look too good, Accord sales could be better.

OUCH for TL sales. ES sales were almost double! The Buick LaCrosse outsold the TL! Acura must be very thankful at least the TSX and MDX saw increases.

RX sales continue to be monstrous, the RX outsold the ENTIRE Infiniti brand by quite a margin! RX was close to outselling the Acura brand as well. RX amazingly even outsold the 3 Series.

Solid sales for Hyundai; Genesis sales continue to worry though. Yet another month with Genesis sales below 2,000, and the sales results *include both* coupe and sedan. ES sales were more than double that of the Genesis, IS sales also much more than the Genesis. HS, despite being supply-limited, came very close to outselling the Genesis.

Great job for Cadillac, nice sales increase. Cadillac is now easily outselling both Acura and Infiniti.

The gap is the widest it's been all year.
To anyone who said Lexus would lose the sales crown this year, they should be eating their words right about now .

Big fail on Infiniti's part. The brand is suffering almost as much as Acura. The one good thing Infiniti has going for it is that the brand is now sold in many international markets, widening worldwide appeal for the brand. Styling is also not as offensive as Acura's. Infiniti though is suffering from a big lack of product, as is Acura.

Clearly, Infiniti fans on the internet are lashing out because the brand is suffering.

To Infiniti's credit though, they do have a direction for the brand unlike Acura. Nissan just needs to invest more into the Infiniti brand in order to have more product.

BMW Group U.S. Division Reports October 2009 Sales

WOODCLIFF LAKE, N.J., Nov. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- The BMW Group in the U.S. (BMW and MINI combined) reported October sales of 20,619 vehicles, a decrease of 19.1 percent from the 25,475 vehicles sold in the same month of 2008. The BMW Group also reported a year-to-date sales volume of 199,838 vehicles, down 23.7 percent compared to 261,802 vehicles sold in the first ten months of last year.

BMW Brand Sales

Sales of BMW brand vehicles decreased 18.6 percent in October for a total of 16,443 vehicles compared to 20,203 vehicles reported in the same month a year ago. The sales volume met BMW's expectations for the month and reflected limited inventory of the new 2010 model lineup, which began to arrive at dealerships in the middle of October. Year-to-date, BMW brand sales were down 25.6 percent to 160,666 vehicles compared to 215,836 vehicles sold in the same period of 2008.

"In October, we continue to see the trend of high volume premium models grabbing the majority of sales while lower volume specialty vehicles lag their previous year's performance," said Jim O'Donnell, President of BMW of North America, LLC. "That's why we are concentrating our efforts on our core 3, 5, 7 and X5 series - all of which performed well with the 7 Series showing its best single month performance, outselling the same month last year by 10.3 percent to now lead the segment for the first time this year."

BMW Certified Pre-Owned (CPO)

In October, sales of BMW's Certified Pre-Owned vehicles increased 31.9 percent to 10,467 CPO vehicles versus 7,937 vehicles reported a year ago. Year-to-date, CPO sales were up 11.6 percent to 94,982 over the 85,081 reported in the same period of 2008.

MINI Brand Sales

MINI USA reported sales of 4,176 automobiles, a decrease of 20.8 percent compared to 5,272 cars reported in the same month a year ago when MINI benefited over-proportionally from $4 dollar gas prices. Year-to-date, MINI USA also reported sales of 39,172 automobiles, a decrease of 14.8 percent, compared to the 45,966 cars reported in the first ten months of 2008.

"October played trick or treat with us and we got a mixed bag of news with no clear trend," said Jim McDowell, Vice President MINI USA. "While our dealers reported a lot of cautious customers and pragmatic buying choices, we also saw an inspiring performance in the West with sales being above last year."

Looks like Audi can be selling a lot more. Seems to be supply limited on some key models (Q5, A5/S5, Q7 TDI).

Is anyone leasing those Honda FCX Clarity hydrogen vehicles? Seems like only 9 were leased in two years. Didnt they want like 200-500 leased?

60 GSh and LSh hybrids sold last month. Not sure of the break down though.

very interesting numbers. looks like toyota and mb both doing pretty ok. the e class is selling crazy, and the new rx sales is pretty good too. i hope that continues, that would be an indication about the economy. but of course at the same time bmw is taking a huge hit, that's not a good sign, though i blame more towards their business model more than anything
