Default 2010 Subaru STI or 2010 Mitsubishi EVO

Plain and simple... Which would you buy if you were deciding between the two? I'm interested in them, but I can't really decide between the two. I like the EVO's looks out of the box and modded, but I REALLY like the STI when it's modded and I feel so-so when it's OEM. So... Which one would it be?

Based on looks I would say Evo. But my brother has a current gen STi and I like the overall fit and finish if it better than the Mitsu. Sure the Evo has typically done better in the comparisons, but I figure 3/4 of the owners will barely be able to use them to their potential anyway

i test drove the Evo X MR when it came out and didn't really like it however, i have not tried the GSR. i really prefer manual over the paddle shifts. just feels weird. i used to have a IX MR and that thing was a blast to drive. not really liking the STI exterior so i would probably get the GSR.

I'd choose the STI, because I like the hatchback aspect

I test drove both when I was shopping for a car; the STI takes the crown in looks and practicality but the EVO takes the crown in performance and steering feel (telepathic).

The STI is the better daily driver at the expense of steering feel and body roll but the EVO is more fun to drive at the expense of comfort and noise. Test drive both then decide.

Id go with the STI, they are both nice but sti's have that grumble exhaust sound, sounds super nice to me. Interior sucks if i am correct. Either way they are nearly the same thing, just throw a accessport and dp your at like 300whp+

The STI grew on me, and it looks tons better than the EVO.

I'd go with the STI. Better overall build quality, more proven AWD system, slightly better (though not much) interior. Evo has slightly better handling but at the expense of a very harsh ride. Both are noisy on the road. Both, IMO, have goofy styling....so it's a toss-up there. Expect high insurance rates for either one, especially for younger unmarried males with tickets/accidents.

+1 on this & should lead to higher resale value

I like the looks of the previous STI in some respects, but some characteristics I like of the new one. The new EVO looks good, but I'd still take the Suby.

I favor the Evo, they are building some mean new Evo time attack cars right now.
