I agreed to check it out, in respinse to an earlier CL thread, mainly because of some skepticism on my part that it could run over logs, rocks, boulders, humps, etc.....at freeway speeds and not self-destruct in the process. The underpinnings are indeed impressive, and I admit that I didn't (and, of course, couldn't) check it out completely in those kind of moon-crater conditions, but even so, some of my skepticism still remains, just a lesser amount.
As to the 46K price, yes, it is steep, but perhaps not surprising. This truck has a lot of engine, a lot of transmission, a lot of build quality, a number of authentic SVT parts/accessories, and, of course, a
LOT of chassis. Though its relative comfort level in the soft-suspension setting is remarkable, it is clearly not a truck for wimps, nor for those who simply use their trucks as Friday/Saturday night custom showpieces for a hot date.
