If you have a nice car.. invest in wheel locks.
http://forums.quattroworld.com/trist...gs/44354.phtml
Has anyone seen this? Amazes me that you can't spend and invest some money on some wheel locks. Sucks for that guy!

seeing how the rotors are rusty, that car must've been parked there for a long time, and targeted by thieves

Okay, whoever this DJ WTF guy is, he does NOT own this car. This car is owned by my neighbor, Ray, and he actually lives in these townhouses you see in the background here. Ray is a real estate agent and owns the GT-R and some sort of SUV. He usually drives the SUV as his daily and therefore the GT-R would be parked in the garage, however he had some equipment in the SUV that he was moving so he put that in the garage to keep it safe from theft. Unfortunately that allowed someone to steal the wheels.
It's kind of funny that people are making such a big deal of this. It is just a car, you act like you should judge him because he parked the vehicle outside, so what? Ray laughed about all the attention this has gotten because this isn't a Lamborghini or Veyron or something, it is an 80,000 dollar car.
Thankfully Pardo Nissan of Long Island sent over some rims along with a flatbed truck and the car is now at their dealership getting fixed. The worst of the damage was some mild gouging on the driver side from the bricks and some scratches on the passenger side skirts and front lip. Thankfully no one tried to actually break into the car.
I don't know who this kid is claiming to own the car on here. They are called locking lug nuts, not "wheel locks", and Ray has never had his wheels stolen so he wasn't all that worried about it. He will put one on each wheel now, for at least a little bit of protection, although it is unlikely he'll leave it outside again. As far as the carbon fiber body kit and mini camera comments, come on people, don't be so gullible, the owner did not say that, this is some kid who wishes he had a GT-R. At least Ray got a laugh out of that comment though, thanks for that

Wheel locks probably would have done nothing in this case. Insurance is the sure bet.
