Simple question. Based solely on the fact that GM/Chrysler has been bailed out with taxpayer dollars, would you NOT buy one of their vehicles based on this knowledge alone.
You can choose more than 1 poll option.

If I were to buy a car and decided on a GM car I would have to look past the whole bailout scenario.
Why? Because no matter how much I don't like what took place with them if I were to buy a car it would need to be a car I want. I cannot completely separate what in my opinon is wrong with the bailout vs the product I am purchasing. To me I'd rather buy a GM car I want (read CTS, Corvette, Camaro & G8,while they last) and living with the frustration I feel over the bailout.

There is potential to GM and Chrysler.
It ends up being the final product, not the process getting there.
Look at how Hyundai is doing: the process to build and engineer their cars (and their business methods) are not the best, but they've come out with excellent products. Even Ford, who had their fair share of crap, is coming out with their best products in years.
Both GM and Chrysler have potential. It has the capability of progressing into the future...

As usual I will make my car selections based on the products, with the best products rising to the top of my selections. GM and Chrysler offer little that appeals to me.

Well, sure, a LOT of people are impressed with the CTS-V........until they find out what it costs. Same with Mercedes AMG and BMW M products.

A used CTS-V would be nice...
That, too, is the only car that enticing me from GM or Chrysler. Bailout money or not, if they build good cars then I don't have an issue buying either brand.
