If you haven't followed earlier posts (and threads) on the subject, some Acura dealers, on customer request, are actually painting those awful grilles black or body color to minimize their effect.

Unfortunately, even majority of people over Temple of VTEC do not like this vehicle at all.

With your very own loyal customers and Honda/Acura fan clubs against it, this vehicle does not have a chance at all.

What I keep thinking about is ... what exactly will it take for Honda to change it's stubborn thinking and ignorant perspective on the market? Will it take several product failures? Large losses? The threat of bankruptcy? The Acura brand completely tanking?

They should put both the ZDX & Crosstour into a new category called
UAV - Ugly Arse Vehicle ! They definiately don't fit into the CUV Cute Utility Vehicle!!! SSsshheesshhh!! This is prime example of just doing a poor job designing a vehicle. Honda/Acura design team must be going through a low period in co. history!

Well, Ford did sell the Freestyle/Taurus X for several years, though it was a somewhat more squarish, two-box design. It has been dropped, of course, with the new 2010 Taurus.

As far as "blind" people buying the CrossTour, let's wait, as with the ZDX, and see how it actually does in the U.S. (and if Stevie Wonder buys one ) The similiar BMW X6, of course, did not sell, but I think that was more because of its high price than its looks. But almost all of the smaller Hondas, and virtually anything that is Civic or Accord-based (with the exception of the ill-fated, 2-seater, Del Sol and, so far, the new Insight) seems to do well in the U.S. If and when Honda releases the Crosstour here in the American market, I plan to review one, as I did the Toyota Venza, simply because it will be a Subaru Competitor.

The bad move here was teasing a wagon and delivering this Aztec/Venza, why? They don't appeal to the same people (wagons appeal to existing Honda, Subaru & VW owners and CUV's to people who buy cars solely for their street presence (it... helps if they aren't ugly btw)). Through inept PR you've set yourselves up for an instant backlash that is going to dominate the press narrative for this car's launch...and you deserve it. Were you trying to keep a lid on the new Venza competitor? To what purpose? Did you really think that Toyota didn't know this was coming down the pipe? 2. CR-V desnt have V6
3. Lower than CR-V , higher than Accord.
4. More room than Accord.
5. More aggressive looks than Sedan Accord and some might a......gree coupe.
6. Comes with 18inch wheels.
7. Fog Lights Standard

Like many others, i "became a fan" just to comment on this atrocity. This reminds me of what MazdaNA did to the 2009 Mazda6. Instead of getting the beautiful mazda6 the rest of the world got, we get a completely different car designed by ...americans. While the rest of the world gets an aggressive design with 3 different bodystyles (5door, wagon, sedan).. usa is stuck with one wonky looking, oversized sedan. I currently have a gen1 mazda6 5-door, So i was looking forward to the new mazda6 5door, so i know how you all must feel when given something completely different under the same name.

Mark: Your correct the cost will go up maybe 10-20 dollars per tire. If you like the Venza , youll have 20's to pay for in which the price goes much higher. 17's are now considered more of a standard size for a large rim. Before 17's were considered huge. 18's are becomming more common.

Really wanted to be a fan of this car, but this is disappointing at best.

Hoping all of the negative reaction will help convince someone at Honda that if they are looking to plug holes in the line up for 2010 and 2011 bring the Honda Stream to fit bet...ween the Honda Civic and CR-V and the European Accord Wagon over here as the Acura TSX Wagon.

The Crosstour may still have a role but feels too big and it's looks... well like it needs a facelift.

Yes, ZWD will appeal to those who never go off road (cause even with AWD it won't have the suspension, differentials or ground clearance to be anything but hopeless off road) but somehow feel the added complexity, weight and reduced efficiency makes the car safer.
