Toyota releases teaser of 2010 4Runner
Toyota is using the occasion of the annual State Fair of Texas – an event automakers commonly use to unveil new pickup trucks (as Toyota itself did with the Tundra back in 2006) – to launch its latest 4Runner SUV for the 2010 model year.
While Toyota isn't yet ready to unleash all the details on its newest body-on-frame 4Runner – which is scheduled for its official unveiling in late September – the Japanese automaker has decided it is high time to tease America's remaining SUV fans with a lone image showing a new 2010 4Runner perched atop a rock with what appears to be an appropriately beefy and heavily-protected undercarriage.
Toyota promises that the fifth-generation 2010 4Runner will be "more rugged than ever" and will offer "sure-footed off-road capability and increased comfort with added roominess." Mini press release after the break.

I always had a soft spot for the 4Runner since I owned a black 1993 4Runner. It was a great vehicle and glad to see a fifth geneation 4Runner coming this September...

Interior looks like a baby Land Cruiser!
Thank God for rectangular foglamps

When I saw that first teaser photo I got really excited and then I saw those pics from C&D.
Quite honestly, from those pictures, it looks like the love child of a Liberty and Rav 4. I hope the official pics will change my mind because those do not look very pretty. That interior looks to be nearly covered in hard plastic as well.

I think the rear end could have been done a little bit better. Would have been better to use all red tail lights. But it still isnt that bad. It has Jaguar XFR wheels.
THe interior is all hard plastic with gigantic ***** like the Tundra and FJ. I'm sure Toyota will say they did that because of the ruggedness they are trying to portray. FWIW I think the current 4R has a pretty unattractive dashboard with weird looking ***** and buttons.
