My how the times have changed. Freaking hilarious that they say the ES300's handling will not disappoint the demanding driver, its surprising how well it handles, yet a current ES350 which is leaps and bounds better in the handling department is described as being floaty, boring, appliance and every other negative word in the book.
Looking at the weight of these vehicles tested in 1992, I really cant get to pissed off about the weight of some current vehicles.

I've been very interested in cars of this time period. I wasn't born a car enthusiast. I became one in 1997 when I got my license. While I have some knowledge of cars before that year, its always interesting to see comparos involving cars that I "missed". It also reminded me of a few models that no longer exist...wow!
This kept me intrigued for the last 10 minutes. I want to get my hands on some late 80's, early 90's C&D mags some day soon. Certainly brings back memories.
Sincerely, Thank you!

These always bring back memories for me 1SICKLEX. Thanks for putting them up. I had every one of the articles you've posted and I remember reading them as well. Why don't I still have them? My wife leaned on me really hard about my big old stack of car magazines taking needed space in our house so they finally had to go. So again, thanks for making it possible for me to still have them.
I used to love the 929. And interestingly enough the J30 was the first pure Infiniti, not being a rebadge of an existing JDM Nissan. It was such a bold styling statement that it didn't fit in with the Q45. Just one more block in Infiniti's on-going identity crisis.

It is strange that they criticize the styling of the Mitsubishi Diamante. I always found it to be one of the most interesting and stylish cars at the time. It wasn't bland in any way if you ask me. It would also be my choice of the bunch followed by the Acura Legend.

It is fun to read these, I wish there was a test that wasn't on the base models. I think some of the results may be a bit different. Altho I do agree with what they say about the handling. the legend was a boat until I updated my suspension. Thanks for posting this
