Lets review;
1. COmplete knock-off of the X6 but somehow twice as ugly
2. Rear headroom for people with no heads
3. Same tired V-6, no V-8
4. As MIke stated, NOT ONE "First"
5. Based off the MDX
6. So ugly, Freddy Krueger is laughing
7. Interior influence from the new WRX/Forester
8. Busiest C-pillar in history of man
9. Welcome to 6 years ago 6 speed automatic
10. The beak strikes again
They are becoming the luxury branded laughing stock.

As I understand it, the Honda/Acura design chain of command is not standardized throughout the world. It differs by market and country/region.

OK, I'm going to risk the wrath of the board (and being called an Acura "fanboy" again) by saying I kind of like it. It's certainly not worthy of the scorn being heaped on it in this thread. All that being said, here are my concerns:
- It looks like the front door and rear door don't perfectly line up (check out the two exterior pics). If this is supposed to represent "a new level of luxury" for Acura and their first foray into Tier 1, then fit-and-finish need to be perfect.
- The interior looks a lot like my RDX (big round plastic speaker grilles in the bottom of the doors, cheap-looking perforated leather, etc.). That's good from a brand consistency standpoint, but again if they're trying to vault into Tier 1 then the interior needs to be class-leading.
- I share the concern that there are no "firsts". At least my RDX had a pretty snappy, high-tech turbo. Tier 1 means EXCEEDING the competition, clearly, in at least a couple of areas. To me the ZDX seems like another solid but lackluster effort that is not going to improve Acura's reputation.
- The beak. It's just not growing on me, on any of the models. Acura got accused for so many years of producing bland Accord-mobiles that I think they've seriously overreacted.
I look forward to seeing them in person, and in different colors. It could even be on my list of next vehicles if my concerns turn out to be unfounded when the actual car shows up. But I'll be as disappointed as any "fanboy" if the ZDX is yet another swing and a miss, so to speak...

I...don't hate it. I like the front and the rear, it's the C-Pillar that just ruins it.
I like the interior though.
I'd go with the MDX though.
