I made a mistake in my first post, its NOT overpriced. 60% of BMWs are leased (85% of 7 series and I believe 70% of the last Z4). BMW then continues to have class leading incentives and rebates out of all the luxury brands. So no one pays close to MSRP unless they don't read and don't shop.
You would pay 36k for this car

I've seen the new Z4 on the streets of Stuttgart and design-wise the car does absolutely nothing for me. The similarities between it and the old Z4 are just too close. You can easily mistake it for an older Z4 which to me means that this vehicle could pass for a facelifted Z4 for example.
I'm sure that the drive and build quality etc. have been improved, but I honestly find the design boring and too close in appearance to the outgoing model. No thanks.

The only reason I put those two prices is because they are soo close to the Z4 sDrive35's price.
Obviously, someone who is looking for a roadster isnt going to look at a 535i.
Still, wayy too expensive!

But I'd take the AMG power over the Z4 all day, everyday.
Although up here, the MB is based $20K more than the base Z4 35i.

They didn't look bad either.

Ehhhh... SLK/Z4 both German cars.... unreliable and expensive maintenance. If Lexus revised the SC w/ the IS-F powertrain and keep it strictly as a roadster, I'm sure my wife would gladly get rid of her SLK for one of them.
