The one thing that sticks out for me and I get a hint of this an an owner is what the driver said of the NSX. "It feels like I'm driving the NSX, where the GTR is helping the driver". You can't match the speed and technology of the GTR, but for a basically 18 year old car, the NSX shows it is still one of the best drivers cars out there and can still hold its own. Give the NSX some power and it still competes today. The NSX chassis can handle a lot more power than what the factory gave it. That is rare today where most cars chassis now can barely handle the power they have in them without the electronic aids saving the driver. The NSX only has a basic throttle control traction control system that reduces throttle. No other type of traction control, yet it is still very drivable at high speed and tight cornering.

looked like the GTR was fighting its mass, but then the NSX gave him the lead. There is no way that GTR just walked by that NSX when It was struggling to keep up intially. Am athe only one who saw that the NSX let the GTR pass???

I think the purpose of that was to show how well each car can keep up with the other and to show where each cars strength is. If the NSX stayed in front, everyone would just say it held up the GTR, but with the GTR in front, it showed the NSX could keep up with it, but also showed the pure straight like speed over the NSX.

Good find! Those were the golden years of Honda...chassis tuned by one of the best F1 driver, ever. Only if they gave Gordon Murray the engine he wanted...

I feel that these are 2 of the baddest cars to ever come out of Japanese tuning houses. Try to imagine how much these 2 cars will be worth in 20 to 30 years

you are right, but ddid the NSX just let the GTR pass to change chase and lead positions??? It seems to easy for the gTR to pass.

My friend has one, great cars and very reliable.
I saw this in a magazine. They listed the price of the NSX at $500,000. The GTR killed the NSX by about 9 seconds or so.
