You were given 20k from the govt to buy one American branded vehicle. What do u buy?
Notice I did not say American made b/c from the Acuras to BMW/Benzs/Toyotas many models are made here.
So lets say the next plan is to give an American with a job 20 grand to buy an American branded car.
Car must be a NEW 2008/2009/2010 model
What do you buy? Do you buy something that will be paid for with the cash like a Cobalt? Do you buy something around 30k? Do you go all out and put it towards a ZR1

if the whole point of buying an american branded car is to support the american car industry, i would buy from the manufacturer that has the best chance of surviving the economic downturn. i'd go with ford, and specifically the ford fusion hybrid.

For $20k, I would go with the 1.4 L 2011 Chevy Cruze. I was very impressed with the look, feel & build quality of this new compact by Chevy. It puts the Corolla & Civic to shame.. Here it is below fresh from the auto show
Then of course if I were to add my own cash to the mix then I would get the Vette ZR1 or CTS-V.
