i meant to say that you should compare the interior with those cars because of the price range. i know you drove the most expensive gen coupe, but cheaper 4 banger shares the same interior minus the leather. and it only costs a grand more than a civic SI.
anyway, i can't wait till i drive one!

mmarshall, great review as usual.
I think I am 90% convinced that the Gen Coupe is a worthy competitor in the RWD sports coupe segment, the last 10% I am going to reserve until I test drive one myself.
I am going to wait until after the turbo-4 model comes out since it will be lighter and also from several reviews and my own experience with the Gen Sedan seems like the Hyundai 3.8L V6 is not yet on par with the 2GR-FSE.

Thanks.
It's one of the closest things I've seen to a BMW yet, chassis-wise, from an Asian manufacturer.

i am jealous of the quick shifting paddles
Why can't Lexus use something like this?
the only car that does it is the ISF.
all other lexus 'manual' modes are a joke.

The IS250/350, IMO, actually has better-designed shift paddles than the Genesis coupe, but they don't program the transmission as quickly. The Genesis paddles, and their bottom-only function, as I noted in the review, feel awkward, but work instantaneously.

question about hyundai warranties.
Long (and limited) Hyundai warranty not transferable outside of immediate family.
10/100 drivetrain warranty only good on Hyundai-sourced parts, rest get 5/60.
is this new or has it always been like this?
