Default Process of making BMW M cars

I came across this video, dunno if it's posted before, but I think it's kind of cool

These guys are the best in the world, and their products prove that fact each generation.

However I have always been baffled how they can make the M cars so amazing, but they can't make them Lexus reliable.

M cars are notoriously fickle with their reliability.

From the E46 M3 valve problems, to the E39 M5 carbon buildup, I don't understand how they can be so outstanding in one area and yet so soft in the other. I always thought that good engineering is good engineering.

Amazing, the history and the years that BMW M has been researching these cars. Thanks for posting.
Just reinforces my belief on how good lexus was with the IS-F, although it may not be quite up to the M on the track they did a pretty good job, all for a car that was an after thought.

actually i found out later that this video is avaiable on bmwusa.com, hahah... but yeah, very nice nonetheless. i actually do believe that also base on the same chassis, bmw put a lot of effort in optimizing parts on the car for pure performance purposes

makes me feel much better for what i pay on the m3

actually i still strongly believe on the track the is-f and m3 get very close with each other. is-f is one darn capable car. if anything i am just not a big fan of the is-f driving and road feel

I saw this vid before & it is great! It is amazing when you do European delivery you get to see how your car is built along with VIP of the various BMW facilities including the Ring & other perks.. Perhaps I will do a Euro delivery next time and have Sabine take me & my girl for a ride in the M5 Ring Taxi.

and they finally have euro delivery on the m (at least m3) with the discount too! so now you can get a m, do euro, enjoy the trip, and come out positive
