Its clear the G35/37 offered inspiration for the Genesis coupe. Here are two pics of them together and you can see similarities and differences.

I can't believe I really prefer the looks of the Hyundai, seems more aggresive than the more feminine looking G37.

Both are good looking though.

However I think the last gen G coupe (G35) trumps both in exterior.

Definitely the Hyundai. NEVER liked the G37 Coupe's design. Such a disappointment compared to the G35 IMO.

i dont like either.

the G has bland sheet metal for a sports car.

and the genesis has weird character lines.

They look alike! even the interior.

But I prefer the G37, always wanted that car.

Apparently I need to get my eyes checked again....cuz when I first looked at the pic, I had no idea which one was which....lol.

Both good looking vehicles imo. I am one of those buyers that would have difficulty with the Hyundai "stigma" so would probably lean towards the Infiniti. That will hopefully change over time, but I still feel that Hyundai needs to show a little bit more longevity with their newer upscale models.

I'm still amazed how the G35 Concept Coupe was just nearly perfect and when the production car came out, the small changes they made totally made it look very blah. The G35 looks much more aggresive.



I believe Hyundai got their own concept RIGHT.



Altima Coupe for comparisons sake

The base model bumper I much prefer to the "S" option.

I'd take a G. Genesis looks kinda cheap and like an updated Tiburon. Both better looking than the IS-C though.

If you had to make me choose between the two i'd still go for the G37. The Genesis looks good but it looks like what a Tiburon should have been.

I'm curious how the Genesis looks cheap? Then the G37 would look cheap too no, especially since it has to share its looks with the Altima coupe? What makes the G37 look more expensive from the exterior?

Both Genesis and G37 are RWD with short overhangs.

I wonder if this thread was re-named "Hyundai Genesis vs Nissan Skyline" would people call the Genesis "cheap".
