I have been thinking. The new Glk is a bit smaller than the Ml, but it looks Rx sized in photo's. It will have a 3.5l v6 and later a diesel hybrid varient. Awd will be an option just like on the Rx and it will start at around 38k thats more or a Rx price than the Ml.
Here are some pics in case none of you have seen it
its supposed to off road as well as a landy if not better looks great to me

I just had this whole reply typed up with the specs of each that got deleted but...bottom line...
The ML is a a bit larger than the RX in overall exterior dimensions, in some measures, significantly so. However, when you look at their interior dimensions they are almost identical or very close, but the RX offers an extra 10 cu. ft of cargo space.
My point here...the ML is longer, wider, and overall bigger, but the RX offers similar space. The 2010 RX is still a bit smaller than the new ML, and I am guessing will actually be a bit bigger inside than the Mercedes.
As for the GLK? If their ML is already has the same amount of usable space than the RX, then I don't see how the GLK would compete with the RX on anything other than price. At $10K more than the RX, the ML 350 is pretty overpriced IMO.

Well all of the Germans are clamoring over this class...First comes the X3, then the Q5 from Audi, now the GLK, the Tiguan from Volkswagen, etc. Plus Infiniti and Acura have their own players. Seems like they have good reason to think this market segment will grow, espcially in light of the anti-SUV vibe going through American consumer's pockets.
