Ben, I believe we have yet to find out whose really is quicker but we will reserve that for a day at the track since we have never been able to solve this. As for a boat, I believe you first got a ride in my car at 120k which would resemble a caddy that is only a year old. Most recently I put a new suspension in with a new rear sway bar and strut bars so a boat is far from it.

Also the coupe weighs more then the sedan by about +100 lbs and there is nothing different in suspension from the factory. So figure that into your boat calculation.

So, I got over 100k on my suspension and it's fine and it don't squeak.

Find me a track and I'll take your 4 speed auto, 200 HP, 3500 Lb., longitudinally mounted FWD SE to school!

this sat at the dyno I bet I put more power to the wheels then your car put to the crank when it was new.

Yawn. Your power loss due to the longitudinal engine setup is greater than that of my AWD vehicle. I'm not really worried about it.

Why can't you guys work for Acura and make them like they used to be? That would be awesome!

200 @ 20-22% powerloss = 160 HP to the wheels in a 3500 Lb. Auto trans vehicle.

170 @ 16-18% powerloss = 143 HP to the wheels in a 3050 Lb 5MT vehicle.

My boots aren't quakin.

The 1978 Lincoln Continental made around 7.5L engine, but it was still slow as *****.

No tension, I'm just tired of hearing how great the Acura Legend was from Acura Legend owner's who act like their poop doesn't smell like everyone elses. Its an inflated sense of self worth and from having driven the Legend, IMO it doesn't live up to the ravings of its cult following. The only cool thing about it was that you could get a 6MT. Where is that today? Not in the RL, thats for sure.

Well I ask for you to EXIT this thread as I specifically made it to appreciate the Legend, the GS in particular.

There are 3 other Acura sucks ***** threads you can post in around here recently

None of the other competitors at the time will 'blow you away' either. Different timing of cars. Can't expect too much when the executive class vehicles were bleh. at the time.

back in the day the 2 door was IT if you were a JDM fanatic. I was always into japanese cars, and that was the big boy, until the sc400 from lexus topped it with a V8 from japan. It was a proud day.

You will now. Re-read the rules. Do not argue with mods in public, do not question them in public. You were asked kindly to exit this thread.

Just read this thread, funny to see how many people went from Legends to a Lexus. I guess that's because Acura went downhill in style/reliability after the Legend. Well, I still drive my 92 Legend Coupe everyday-- 160k and still going. Always wished I had the Type II motor. Anyhow, it keeps only 30k on my GS.
