Clear bra your entire car/change colors!
Saw this on autoblog. http://www.autoblog.com/2008/08/06/b...-car-to-white/
Guy used a 3M film, much like those used on taxis. delivery vans etc. To change his black bmw to white. also effectively acts as a clear bra for the entire car! hahah
Finished, he left the roof black, a la M3.

They vinyled the whole car. A few people have done this, i remember reading about someone doing this to a lambo?
+ last time i looked at the bimmer forums, it seems like a lot of people vinyl their whole to get a new color like a baby blue color
Crazy what they can do with vinyl..

I am pretty sure that most race cars are done this way now. Maybe not F1 but Nascar is pretty much a whole car wrap. For them, it is also very likely cost effective for repairing damage, especially not having to individually paint the underlying job and then apply the sponsor decals, but for a street car, the whole thing kind of leaves me unenthused.

I was waiting for a thread like this
All you need is a roll of the right vinyl in 50 yards x 48". When I discovered the GTR that was done in the vinyl I ordered some of that stuff up ASAP. When my buddies found out they started peeling off door cladding and what not to do their cars as well. It's amazing that something can be that cheap, that easy to maintain, and PROTECTS your car. When you get sick of the color, peel it off! Install is everything however, trying to do this outdoors or in a dusty garage would be a nightmare!
