I have excellent credit (777 score)
No high dollar liabilities (except my mortgage which is nearly paid off)
I don't know about special lease rates or residual just yet since I wanted to just get a ballpark of what it might cost going in. I was guessing in the neighborhood of $600. Is that about right?

You have perfect credit, a 3 block long house that is almost paid for and about 200k worth the cars noted in your sig, I would have to assume you should know or be able to find what a lease payment is on a weak 48k.
edit- the car chat guys will help you a bit too

all depends on what deals the manufacturers have going in terms of money factor, residual etc. you could get a 3rd party lease, but I don't have any experience with those. any down payments, security deposits, etc.
would probably help to know if you have a specific car in mind, and then you can start to look up lease deals.

This is as generic of a question as saying "If I buy a $48,000 car how much will it be worth after 3 years and 36k miles of driving and how much will I have paid in interest on it"
Without any more details that amount could literally be X amount or twice X.

Thanks for the help so far guys.
More specifically, this is for my current Range Rover. The lease expires in less than a year (with a $48k residual) and I am expecting them to call me with options at some point soon. I am still unsure if I am going to turn it in for something else, re-lease or take on a new one. One thing is for sure though and that if I am going to move forward with Range Rover again, I will definitely lease. You guys would be astounded by how many problems these trucks have and the cost to fix Range Rovers is equally outrageous. There are many owners that complain about $3,000 repair bills. With that said, I truly loved the car and since I had a brand new one, my problems were very light.
Anyway, I want to have some idea of what the payment will be so I will be somewhat educated for the upcoming negotiation. Also, I like to have a short-term and long-term car strategy in place at all times.

Lets see here
Acura, Infiniti BMW-$199 a month
Lexus, Benz, Caddy-$599 a month
RR-$999 a month
The above is a joke but it does show the difference in lease rates between companies.
You cannot just ask what a lease payment might be for a 48k car, way to many variables.
