Default New BMW X1, X3

This was posted on bimmerpost. http://www.xbimmers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=147489
Huckfeldt has been on point with his renderings. The X6 one that he did was very accurate. Here is his latest on the new X1 & X3. Both will have the N54 motor from the 335.. Thoughts?

New X3

New X1

I think it will appeal to a lot of people.

SUVs are as popular as stationwagons right now; the demand is rapidly decreasing...

What kind of thoughts are you after? Are you interested in one? Unless one needs the extra ground clearance for deep snow or the wagon carrying space in back, I think you'd be happier with an Xi AWD 3 or 5-series.

How much bigger is the X3 getting? Or how much smaller will the X1 be? The current X3 already looks tiny IMO.

More disgusting but clearly they will sell and of course have good driving dynamics for a SUV/CUV/STD.

I don't see the point, but oh well. That N54 seems like it will quickly become the next VQ - it's find its way under the hood of everything...

thoughts???

here's my thoughts

great timing!

these vehicles are completely useless in today's market.

you can't even trade an SUV in and they're introducing new models --- great job BMW - why don't you put more effort in fuel efficient models instead of wasting everyone's time with this crap.

stationwagons are popular? I haven't seen one in so long... maybe it mustn't be popular in some states like California...

is it true from top gear that the X3 was subcontracted to a company in Austria to do most of the work?

anyways... the point of a SUV is to have off-road capabilities and apparently from top gear these SUVs are useless...
