Galant VR4, the 98ish one, such a nice and angry car...

RX-7 has been back for a few years now. It's commonly known as the RX-8.
Oh, and it's ACURA (not Honda) NSX
I voted Supra and NSX.
BTW, the new NSX goes on sale in 2010.

I have never thought of RX-8 as RX-7 successor because of three main reasons:
1. Engine output is going backward, RX-8 is weaker than FD RX-7 due to lack of turbocharging.
2. Two extra doors make it a non-coupe.
3. Not expensive enough to be considered the top level Japanese sports car.

Toyota just needs to add a damn coupe. I dont even care which one!! Just atleast have ONE that isnt based off of a previous generation Camry.
After that, I would like to see a new Mitsubishi 3000GT. For two straight generations, Mitsubishi has ruined the Eclipse. With the new EVO out, a new 3000GT would be a cool addition. They used to have a pretty fun lineup in the 80's and 90's. An EVO, 3000GT, and hopefully a back to its roots Eclipse. That would be a good lineup.

They should have kept the popular RSX, IMO, if that is their idea of moving upmarket.

What source told you this? This is the first I have heard of them going mid-engine again, if correct it would please alot of people as most think they should have kept the replacement mid-engine in the first place like the original. I do hope your source is not a Acura dealership salesman/mechanic because they are generally not good sources and just tell rumors or make things up to tell people which they have no evidence about.
