Rise and shine! Steve Aoki is about to start another busy day, but what ride should he take? Will it be the Scion FR-S Release Series 1.0 or his custom designed Aoki Scion FR-S?

I was correct about teaser under blue sheet was indeed NC, not ND. This is what source at Miata.net has been told.

Source also told that base engine 1.5L will make more power than out going 1.8L. Aussie magazine just confirm it's indeed correct. 130hp vs 128hp.

Optional engine, 2.0L will make power neighbor of ~180hp and come out a year after along with PRTH option. I would expect at least 175hp from 2.0L.

Mazda will reveal more detail about Miata at Paris Auto Show.

But surely the 2.0L engine will be heavier than the 1.5L, no?

I'd wager the States won't get the 1.5L. Probably the larger engine which I'm good with. Hope I'm right

2.0L in Mazda3 is 4kg heavier than 1.5L one (EUDM). Miata engine is based off Mazda3, I don't see it being much heavier.

Yup Mazda knows that "The US won't settle for less". Heard rumor flying around that 2.0L is coming for the US market this year.
