^^^The CE has always been available (02-04 there was no CE). The current gen had the CE designation for 2007, but for 2008 its simply known as Camry (Camry, Camry LE, Camry SE etc). Only difference between the standard model and the LE is that the standard model does not include keyless entry and a power drivers seat and something else that I cant think of.
The pricing for the Accord seems fine. Its a couple hundred bucks more expensive than the Camry for every model. The Accord still looks ugly as ever, but thats just my opinion.
Dont know why they are only releasing prices now, as I have seen a few on trucks with stickers on them being delievered a week and a half ago here in Philly (but I wasnt close enough to actually read the sticker).

Saw this reviewed on Motorweek - good to see it in motion - the car is AWESOME. Great looking in both sedan and coupe. Class leading interior.

Call me nuts but this car is tempting me. Tempting me to purchase it and drive it for the next 100k miles to save money instead of leasing a 335i like my evil side is wanting me to do.
The main thing keeping me from doing it is that I insist on getting a good deal on things and I'm sure if I manage to get my local dealer to knock even 500 dollars off sticker I'd be lucky.

Yeah I think I'm going to go look at it too but I need to replace my Audi in less than 7 weeks and I doubt they're going to budge on sticker. Oh well, I can at least check it out and make an offer.
I am slightly surprised that xenon lights STILL haven't fully penetrated into this class of car though. Yes I know some cars in this class have them but the Accord and Camry still don't.

new EPA ratings are account for "crappy driving" i suppose resulting in bad mileage, if your driving style enables you to get 18mpg on a V8 GS, then you will easily break 20 mpg+ if you use the same driving technique in a V6 accord. Im getting 21-22mpg 100% city in the IS350, all has to do with driving style

There's certainly a ton of brand equity and loyalty to the Accord, but I think the competition is brutal right now and both price and looks factor in these days. I haven't compared prices but I'd guess IF a new Accord is, say, $2K above a Camry for example for similar trim it would REALLY hurt sales. Heck, even paint colors matter a huge amount!
And if looks didn't matter, Honda (and others) would have no need to redesign, but designs get stale and get out of step with trends like it or not. Plus, cars have to comply with changing regulations too (like the idiotic European and Japanese pedestrian protection laws) so sometimes cars HAVE to be redesigned.
Regardless, I think the new Accord is a MASSIVE step above the car it replaces, and a bargain.

It's going to be very interesting. The new Malibu and new Accord both start at 20K, while the Camry starts at 18K. What needs to be kept in mind is that for 18K the Camry comes well equipped, so it's not just a stripper model. On the other hand, the Accord does have a better interior than the Camry.
It will be certainly an interesting competition.

I was just looking at the Honda website and it's up.
The front of the coupe looks great!
It also has 268HP It must just glide... It's pricy but it's an awesome
package. The new designs definitely have a masculine character unlike
the last two generations.
