WHO in ClubLexus prefer something other than a Lexus?
This little question pop in my head today while i was reading how a budweiser employee got fire for drinking a Miller light posted in the local news paper.
So i'm just wondering if anyone here in clublexus would prefer something else than a Lexus. Don't answer this threat with something like "yes i prefer a McLaren F1". i'm only talking about cars within the same price range. I know a lot of people driving other makes and still be in this forum for years.

I bought my first car, a 1999 GS400 last summer. This spring I moved up to a 2006 C6 Corvette, I prefer it over anything in the Lexus lineup because I'm young and I want a true sports car, and that's something Lexus has yet to offer, we'll see what the LF-A turns out like, but that will probably be out of my price range

I would prefer something over Lexus, just make it more luxurious, better built, more reliable, more ergonomic, and easier to use, then I will buy it in a second.

If I had the money and it was my own hard-earned money, then it's Lexus.
Otherwise, it'll have to be a Saab (love their quirkiness... don't talk to me about the 9-2X or the 9-7X..ugh). Or my new found love - Maserati Gran Turismo.

Depending on price range & the type of car. For a sports coupe/sedan with a real manual transmission, Lexus has nothing for me.
My next new car will likely be a Lexus, but for a sporty car down the road, I would definately look elsewhere.

I really prefer coupes and the "driving experience," with that said, I'd pick many over my Lexus as I have and will continue to do so... If I wanted nothing more than a well built car then I dont think much else beats a Lexus, but there is so much more to be desired.

Yes, I prefer otherwise... And let me explain why. I have been a long time member of this forum, and a long time advocate of Lexus until recently. Although I haven't owned a Lexus for a few years now, I constantly read up on car chat here... IMO, this is one of the most civil, tasteful, and non-riced car forums on the net.
In 2004, I got rid of my 90 LS400, one of the best cars I have ever owned. I got a beater car that was good on gas, and had incredible handling for the price (with suspension modifications). It was a Scion xA and the first manual transmission car I had ever owned... I was hooked. Moving down to Los Angeles and acquiring a job where I drive up to 4 hours a day and needed to get something bigger, so I upgraded to a Scion tC and stuck with a manual transmission.
I am ready to move up again into the luxury market, and Lexus still refuses to offer manual transmissions on their "sports" models. I was severely let down that the IS350 was not offered in manual. And when I tested the IS350 at TOL (to see if I could overcome my new found distaste of slushboxes), I found the VSC to be very intrusive to my spirited driving, not allowing me to make certain maneuvers. I know that VSC can be disabled, but I'd rather not turn all stability controls completely off... I just want to retain a minimum of 90% control of the car, and not 60%.
Other cars I have driven and love see the BMW 330's, 335's, audi A4's, WRX sti, and a recent surprise was the Cadillac CTS-V. I would love to own an Acura TSX or TL, but the fact that they are FWD ruins it for me (and paying a premium price demands either AWD or RWD).
One day, if I'm looking to find a practical car that is merely A to B, I might consider a Lexus... But the driving experience has become so important to me, that the "toy" factor really has superceeded everything else. Lexus's are great cars... But unfortunately, they just don't offer a product that fits my needs or my market. If they did, I would most certainly buy it.
