I'm sure you are right, but I wonder why the GS450H does NOT have the same characteristics as the RX400H, i.e., city mileage better than highway?

these figures are crap, i dont drive my car hard at all and get about 14mpg city

Where did you find these? The site has an tool that you can use to estimate, but I can not find any actual numbers - can you point to the link.

epa site has full info, but I dont think they retested everything, the just applied some mathematical formula to the results.
For instance, now user reported ratings (on EPA's site) are on average bigger for Toyota than EPA's estimates. Which is a bit silly.
It is cool that E350 cant match LS460's mpg...

perception of quality, maybe to you... Overall quality and workmanship, definetly not, thats what we have statistics for.
