Sounds good.

Hey, we all know it has the power. For a little over $40k, it ain't bad having that much power. But like the article says, it's still a Mustang...

WOW, talk about disappointing... 13.4 @ 108 for a car rated at 500hp?! I can run a 13.4 in my IS!!! It's a good thing the got it to run a better in the end, though - this could have been a PR DISASTER for Ford.

if you would have listened on there was a faulty air filter to blame it ran 12.80 with the new air filter and gained 48 more hp

Recent Mustang V8's, for various reasons, have never felt as strong as their HP/torque figures would indicate.....or as strong as their Camaro/Firebird competition. I formally reviewed both a present-model 6-speed 2006 Mustang GT and a 5-speed Cobra about 4 or 5 years ago.......and while both would get out of their own way, of course, neither one had quite as much power as I expected, even though, unlike Edmunds, I don't take them to the drag strip for ultimate testing. It is possible that, like Cobra engines of several years ago, the 500 HP rating of the new Shelby may actually be too high and done mostly for advertising......I agree that 13.4 sounds a little slow for a car with supposedly this power-to-weight ratio, especially now that the weather is cooler and more conducive to engine power.

Don't tell me this is the only American car you actually like!

There are others that are perhaps worthy of your praise...
