2007 G35
I know there's a thread about the new G35 but has anyone gotten one yet? It would be nice to hear some responses on the new G. Infiniti finally has the 07 on there website with great pics.. This car looks damn good for the price..
Not sure but is there should be a comparison with the new G3, TL-S, Is 350, 07 GS, and Maxima.. Seems like a tuff choice to me if i had to choose.. but thank god i don't...

Get the G35 if: you want a fun to drive car (6MT available) and need some space and don't care about fuel mileage.
Get the IS350 if: you don't care about a manual, don't need space, want better fuel economy, and better reliability and quality
Get the TL-S if you have lots of inclement weather to deal with and don't care about handling so much.
Get the Maxima if you want to save some money and like CVTs.
Get the 07 GS if the people you plan to put in the back are short.

I test drove two, it's a nice car - huge improvements over the last gen especially on the inside (we all know that); the dash is a little busy but the material quality and fit and finish is like night and day. The aluminum they use is prrtty cool - love it or hate it, I like it. One weird thing - the leather seems to have gone down in quality while everything else went way up. It's pretty quick, not as smooth as the 335i or IS350, but it really takes a second breath after 5000rpm and I think it'll keep up with them - the tranny is ok, the 6MT is the same as the last gen but it's not bad, the MM is much better than the last gen; but not nearly as good as the IS350/335i. It's not as notchy as the last gen but it will still downshift, which I hate.
The overall feel was much larger than most of the cars in its segment, which I didn't really like but some people will. It has a ton of space inside and the trunk is huge - but you can feel the added bulk when driving it, I noticed some steering strafe which really bothered me. The engine is good like I mentioned above, but no direct injection and poor fuel economy are bummers, as is the fact that you don't feel all the power until WAY up in the rev band. Oh, the exhaust note is really nice.
It has a buttload of tech standard, which is cool - and man the price is so low for what you get. The lease rate they were offering was really good so the payments were almost stupidly low, which is why they will sell. It's a nice car, but very different in a lot of ways from its competitors; it really felt like a slightly smaller M35, like, a lot. I think anyone in the market in this segment will have a clear favorite after a test drive, they all drive so differently.
