Thanks to all who responded with links to Infiniti forums. A couple of weeks ago, I bought an M35 and wanted the same educational advantage I have had with my Lexus.

Congrats on the new car, I'm sure you'll love it. Both freshalloy and g35driver have M35/45 sections and they need more activity. I check those sections cause I like that car too. Only a few put nice wheels and kits on the car. I guess partly cause they come stock with pretty nice wheels and there is a factory kit, too.

At the risk of being flamed, I test drove a GS350 back to back with the M35. I guess it is pretty obvious which one I preferred. It was actually a shock to me because my '04 LS430 was my 4th Lexus. I swore I would never buy another brand. The pluses of the GS350, for me, were the drive train, exterior design, history of my Lexus service and fuel economy. But, again for me, the result of the design creates a cramped interior with a tiny trunk. I routinely knocked my head when entering the driver's seat of the GS. I also found the suspension, with the 18" wheels/tires, produced a very harsh ride on rough pavement with potholes.

The M was more comfortable, with good rear seat room and trunk space. It has a more compliant ride even with the standard 18" wheels. Comparably equipped, it was at least $3000 cheaper and from my research, it has better resale value. So far, it is the first and only car I have not had to take back for any adjustments (including all my Lexus).

I think the GS and the M are very even competitors, with different flavors. I can't say that one is better overall than the other, except for me, at this time in my life, the M35 won me over.
