Default 2008 Honda Accord on the way

Concept :

While Honda is working on its new Accord other cars in its class like the Toyota Camry are booming in sales. Toyota’s new Camry has been accepted by sports sedan lovers and the hybrid version is being applauded by enviromentally concious drives. That being said and competition from the new Nissan Altima (with a coupe version on the way) the new Honda Accord has a lot to live up to. So far there have been some photo renderings of the 2008 Honda Accord but the official production design is due in 2007. The car will have a larger wheel base with some design elements of the new Civic. Other then that the car is expected to be close to these photo renderings you see here. There will also be a new coupe launched as well.

There are also rumors of a new Honda Accord hybrid due out by 2009

That car? for $20,000? OMG.

If that design really ends up in the final product, I have a feeling Camry is going to have some tough competition.

Amazing likeness to the concept drawing - of course we still need to see what it looks like "in steel".

Ever notice "concept" drawings are often minus such amenities as rearview mirrors, doors, door handles, even legal lighting? Some of these features begin to appear on the drawings as debut date approaches, but it's still interesting that most initial drawings, while beautiful, often ignore little things . . . like drivers with heads, legs, and arms. Inconvenient, that.

When I have seen that concept in the past, it has been associated w/ the 2008 Euro Accord/American TSX; that does look a bit fancy to be the next Accord but who knows.

Looks good, I guess Honda had no choice after Toyota ended the bland looks of the Camry.

I remember seeing concept cars when I was a kid, and when the real thing came out, you could tell how the it basically got chopped into pieces. It is a rare thing that a concept car turns into reality at a low price.

That would put me in an Accord again. I gave up on the Accord after I was a victim on the '03 year rotor problem. The rotors would warp usually around 3,000 miles, the most mileage I got was 5,000. Honda did cover them under warranty.

Very hot, but look to me like they took the camry's agressivness, and mixed it with the Maxima's bubbly roof and called it the accord.

Looks like another 4-door coupe attempt. Looks great for a sedan but will have minimal rear headroom for sure.
