Spy Shots: BMW MPV Revealed
November 8th, 2006
Looks like its going to be another BMW day today here at eGMCarTech. Well anyway, who would’ve thought BMW would ever built a van, better yet WHY? Nonetheless, the company sees a market for a MPV model to grow by 45 percent between 2005 and 2015. The BMW MPV was really delayed since the design team couldn’t get the right looks and proportions, which we believe should’ve been enough of a signal that the company shouldn’t get into the market. Either way, the five-door four to five-seater seems as if it will be based on the 3-Series which could be a signal that BMW will market this as a competitor to the Mercedes C-Class estate or an Audi A4 Avant.

That really doesn't look any different than the 3 series touring. And if it's built off the 3 series platform, I just don't see the point at all. It's going to be narrow, and probably not much longer than what they already have in place.

Err.. you guys DO realise that MPV stands for Multi-Purpose Vehicle which is the term other countries use to call, what we know as, "minivans"
Besides, didn't BMW say they weren't gonna make a minivan? I mean, MB has one and it isn't that great...
