Tampa auto show (a few pics)
Went to the auto show today. As is usually the case, most of the cars displayed are of little interest. Still fun to kick some tires.
I did like the redesigned CR-V, though. It's really a very sharp little sport, with way more interior space than you'd expect. And 28-30 MPG to boot. Honda did a really nice job.
Some random thoughts:
- The MZ4 coupe has a massively thick steering wheel
- The new Tundra is huge.
- I really can't get over how poor the gas mileage is on the Mazdas with the turbo 4.
- No Porsches on display? Huh...
- The interiors on the new Acura SUVs are awful. Terribly busy, with an unattractive mix of different materials and textures.
- The new Lexus LS is huge. You could probably park a mini in the back seat (and it would actually fit through the door).
And a few pics below. Saleen S7, 911 GT1, Enzo, and even an FXX. Woot!
