way to go VW
I drove and loved the GTi with DSG, but didn't want to buy another VW after my Passat was needing so may repairs. But VW do make nice cars (IMO) if only they were more trouble free they would be great.
I can believe the Rabbit won, I can't believe the Civic came in 3rd (I would have predicted 2nd).
I have not read the article, my eyes are not good enough to read the scan. But on looks/interior the VW seems to be in a higher class than several of these cars (IMO).

If I were still in the market for these, I'd still take the Mazda 3, the best to drive & the second best to look at, I would go for the hatchback version though. The civic would be a close second . . .

VW has way too many grimlins. My brother has a GTi, great car, but little things have popped up. He took it to the dealership to get the IPOD connector fixed and while driving it home it went to limp mode. Now he has to take it back. A small handle broke, and the Sat radio didn't work at first either. Well, I guess its not too bad and the drive is incredible.
