Default Just want some general info about TTE...

Well, I've been browsing around the forum...
trying to find some body kits for my GS... then I came across this company called TTE.
Most of time when TTE was metioned in the post... It had OEM attatched to it??
Why are they considered as OEM??
Or, Is TRD called TTE in DE??

Just want to find out more about them that's all... Thanks in advance!

TTE = Toyota Team Europe.

They are not TRD but they are like TRD, just the European version.

I believe it is just the front lip and grille. Not sure about the spoiler. I think "TTE body kit" is a stretch of the term.

Toyota Team Europe is Toyota owned company that creates and sells accesories for Toyota's in Europe.

They also handled Toyota's WRC effors (where they were most sucessful manufacturers ever) and are now responsible for F1 effort which is headed from TTE factory in Koln.

They made the Mk2 with a lip, grille and rear spoiler too (Factory options). Mk1's had wheels (18x9 front / 18x10 rear). They also make a top speed "delimiter" for the GS300/GS430 to remove the 155mph speed limiter.

Actually they where Borbet-manufatured 8,5x18" AND 10x18" alloys And they will fit the mk2 too. And these could be bought as either TTE-wheels...or as Lexus-wheels...the latter having a two-tone paint...and more of a silvery finish to them. I had the TTE-version on my Supra a few years ago....if i remember correctly they are 40mm offset front and rear...a nice and subtle improvment they where...
