Default Have Not Checked Out The 3rd Gen GS

I don't know about where you guys live but Lexus is doing a serious ad campaign on their cars. Lately they've been touting the GS and now I'm seeing the ads for the ES. Am I the only one to have not check out the new GS. With all the new ads, man I feel the need now to head over to the Lexus dealer and check this car out both inside and out. Have You??????

I haven't checked out the new GS yet. It doesn't interest me one bit.

Nothing wrong with checking it out. Won't do harm to just take a little ride, smell a little leather and soak up the sweetness. Be warned, I used to hate this car.....until I got one.

the Gen3 looks a little too close to the new Camry. I think the Gen 2 is more distinctive in look. If it looked more aggressive than the Camry I might consider ponying up the green for it but it's still stylistically too bland for my taste.

Who are you calling "bland"?

I understand what you mean, but I think you worded it too simply...

The Gen2 is distinctive and stood out from a crowd.
The Gen3 has the roofline of some Nissans out there.

The Camry is "more aggressive looking" compared the the old Camry.
The Gen3 is "less aggressive looking" compared to the Gen2 GS.

Gen3 is "bland"? Not really. Conservative: yes. Bland: no. It's subtle Japanese styling.
As for the interior, I think it's ten times better than the Gen2...

It's a damn nice car. Personally, I wouldn't make a special trip to the dealership to see one, though, unless you were thinking about buying one. I'd just wait for the autoshow to arrive in your area, and check it out then.

Was it the car or was it a pushy and aggressive salesman/saleswoman the reason you got it??
Earlier in the year I went into a Nissan dealership and was close to buying a new Pathfinder because of the two I mentioned earlier. But wifey was there with me so we left in the car that we came in.

The roofline looks very similiar to that of the newest Maxima which I'm not a fan of. Still, it's not enough to make not go over and check it out. Besides it'll be good to say hi to the salesmen at the dealer who I bought my GS from.

Me neither! Personally I think the new 3rd gen looks great especially with the GS 430 rims on it.
