Default Extended warranty pricing? Seems way high even at a 'discounted' price

I was getting a price quote from a popular Toyota dealer over on Tundrasolutions.com who's known for pricing warranties just over cost and selling them to people all over the country. He supposedly is very trustworthy and very legit - has been doing business over there and other forums for a few years now.

With that said, he gave me a quote on a 100k mile 7yr zero deductable platinum warranty for our 05 2WD V6 4Runner at $880, no taxes or extra fees. I think this sounds very reasonable and is literally almost HALF what the retail price of the warranty is listed on Toyota.com ($1650)

Now with that said, I also asked just out of curiosity, what the price for a 100k mile 7yr zero duductable platinum warranty was for an 06 GS430 and he said $2080!! He also mentioned retail price was $2900.

OK let me get this straight... the retail price of a Lexus warranty (a vehicle that might cost a little more to fix but should also not break down as often!) is almost DOUBLE what it is for a Toyota warranty?? And that's considering the fact that the standard lexus warranty is a year and 14k or so miles longer for B2B and powertrain warranties, meaning you are actually purchasing a shorter warranty extension and fewer added miles above and beyond the free factory warranty. And his discount on it seems to be much worse percentage-wise, as well.

So I'm just curious if any of you guys feel this is similarly ridiculous as to the pricing structure, and/or if you guys are familiar with discount OEM warranty sellers in the Lexus arena of things?

only thing i can think of is a lexus has many many more things, mainly electronics and sensors, that can fail which they cost more for parts vs a 4 runner
