When did the Q45 get a facelift?
I just noticed a new Q45 running around my neighborhood and I looked at the tails and they were given the G treatment "L" shaped tails. I didn't even know the Q45 got a facelift considering it's a car that's been dropped.
When did they do the facelift?

It was a car that, like VW's Phaeton, never really got established in the marketplace. Infiniti never really know how to position or market the car. The first generation model was a strong sports sedan ( if a rather large one ), had plenty of power, was devoid of wood trim, and was fairly firm-riding ( an active-suspension Q45a model was brifely added but quickly dropped from lack of sales ). The second generation model was pretty much the opposite.....a smaller and less powerful 4.1L V8, more wood inside, and a softer suspension....still no pickup in sales. The third and last generation car was a combination of the first two and a hi-tech showpiece with outrageous Gatling-Gun headlights that, just like the first two models, sat in the showrooms and went nowhere. So.....it's good-bye to the U.S. market.

They used to advertise the previous generation(s) Q45s, but I guess the figured they had wasted enough money on a car that was not selling so they must have decided to use the marketing money for the G and FX...?
