Just received my magazine via mail.

magazine said the new Supra will be around 350hp N/A I6, and priced at just over $30,000 to go against the G35/350Z.

If this car really comes into United States with that price figure, it'll be a bargain. How realistic is it though?

Depends where they got their source lol.

I doubt it'd be an inline. Toyota can get waay more power and burn fuel much more efficiently with their new V6 engines of comparable displacement.

Toyota has said that they have no intention to bring the supra back.

I have been waiting for the new supra since 2001 before i bought my RSX. I am tired of waiting and I won't hold my breath.

When i see one, I wil believe it and BUY IT.

I would think they would be pushing more hps and maybe even something in a hybrid, but that price is too low. I think the original went for a lot more if I am not mistaken.

Lexus marketing says the IS350 has the most hp in the class, the IS350 should get that hp bump since the competition is now at the same

I think that's what Toyota USA said. There have always been news about the next Supra in Japan. 2001 was too Early for a MKV Supra. The MKIV was still on sale in Japan.

There are always all sorts of rumors from "inside scoops" or "sources", I think only Toyota sources are reliable, and still we won't be able to fully trust any rumors we hear online. But I would trust the sources that I rely on, because they've been right for the past few years. That source has been accurate for most of the stuff that I hear from them.

Not like it really matters, but I think that might be Road and Track not Car and Driver. My roomie has the new C&D and they dont mention anything about a Supra. Plus they dont use that font.

Platform based on the IS with a tweaked V6 putting out 350hp instead of the current 300hp. Maybe everyone who has inside knowledge hasn't heard about this but it wouldn't be much of a stretch to produce. Looks like the pricing is to have it compete with the 350Z which is also realistic. All it takes is some time to find out if it is real.
