2008 Ford Super Duty unveiled (24,000lb towing)
Ford today unveiled the 2008 Ford Super Duty pickup series. Offered in three cab styles – Regular Cab, SuperCab and Crew Cab – and with two bed lengths, the new Super Duty will be available in early 2007. A new 6.4-liter Power Stroke Diesel will be offered, delivering 350 horsepower at 3,000 rpm and 650 lb.-ft. of torque starting at 2,000 rpm. It features a high-pressure, common rail fuel system, Piezo-electric fuel injectors and an advanced diesel particulate filter system. Transmission choices include a six-speed manual with overdrive or a TorqShift five-speed automatic.
For 2008, the model line has been expanded to include the F-450. "The F-450 pickup doesn't just raise the bar for heavy duty pickups, it tosses it out. Game over," said Mark Fields, President of the Americas. "Every aspect of the new line of Super Duty trucks, including capability enhancements, design changes and feature innovations is uniquely designed after spending a great deal of time talking with – and listening to – our customers."

Man that is just sick!
Must say I was anti ford products for a while but I stopped listening to my family
I have been looking at a F250 Diesel, thinking after the house is built I just may "need" one.
Great trucks coming from ford the last couple years!

The interior is a derivative of the F-150.
We still love our F-150. My '06 Explorer's interior has some similarities too, and it's very nice. Still amazed at how quiet it is inside, although the Ford V8 is still louder than any Lexus when you stand outside.

Anyone who buys a duelly will either need it for towing or for the rear bed load capacity. I know what you mean about people buying large vehicles and never hauling anything, but I don't think that would be the case very often with this one because even just parking it is often no fun. It's not like, say, a Hummer, the ultimately gratuitously huge vehicle.
