Taste of Lexus video's
Went to Taste of Lexus at El Torro today and it was a lot of fun. Drove the LS460L, IS350 and the GS450h.
The LS460L was very very nice. Smooth and had good power and good stopping power. Interior of course was as luxurious as ever. Handling was ok, I actually thought it handled better than the GS450h.
The IS350 was fun. I was most comfortable with this car becuase I own one, though i've never pushed mine very hard. It understeared a bit after the first straight when I had to brake hard to make a left. There is a long sweeping left hander towards the end but I unfortunaly held back a bit on that turn. I held it in a lower gear but didn't accelerate much through it... Oh well, maybe next time!
The GS was a bit of a dissappointment though due to the batteries being nearly completley depleated by the time I got to drive it. It was very sluggish off the line but picked up pretty good shortly after. Handling is not its forte though, lots of body roll and not much grip from the tires. Definatly no match for a 550i from a performance stand point. After I drove the GS, my friend went for a lap in one but our fun was cut a bit short when we quickly caught up to a VERY slow driver in an IS350

I'm 27 and my friend is 26. We both had our wrist bands on our left hand. I did not pay attention to anyone elses wrist bands so I have no idea.
Here's a little breakdown of the video's
1st video: Me driving the LS460L with my friend video taping from outside
2nd video: My friend driving the same LS460L with me taping from inside
3rd video: Me driving an IS350
4th video: Me driving GS450h
5th video: Friend driving GS450h

man you guys have no idea, this is not the worst already. read my review last year about the gal who drove the gs300 (or 430?)...... she held up the WHOLE track coz' she was doing about 10mph throughout the whole track..... with 5 cars tailgated her and they stalled the whole track waiting for her to get back.....
once she's back, everyone was cursing so bad that her bf got mad and yelled at me (i was one of those who cursed).
yeah, some people, no idea what they were trying to do at these events..... i wonder how they see it on the road.....
but other videos, nice stuff man
