Ford GT production ended
Production of the Ford GT supercar has ended. The last car was built late Thursday at the Wixom Assembly Plant, for a total run of 4,038 units. Ford announced it would be discontinuing the GT as part of its "Way Forward" plan earlier this year. The GT was first shown in concept form in 2002, and a production version was readied within 15 months. Power comes from a 550 horsepower V8, with a top speed in excess of 200 mph. Zero to 60 mph is accomplished in 3.3 seconds. The MSRP for the car was $150,000, thought buyers typically paid as much as $175,000.

Actually, with my own RX300 in mind when I redid the exhaust...I was thinking of the GT sound, but I could not quite get rid of all the raspy sounds at some RPMs.
It has one of the most beautiful sounds I have ever heard out of any vehicle.
The sound clips and video games that have this vehicle in them don't quite do the sound justice.
This one of a 1/4 mile run, near the end of the run has a really good sound to it.

I saw only a couple on the road, and one at a Ford dealership.
They looked really nice, but I wasn't a fan of the stripes. The Ford website said you could get one without the stripe "package" though.

Agreed.
I don't see cars made today going for a lot in a few years (20 maybe) because of all the eletronics and what not.
A muscle car from the 60's can do that because it's simple. It's a seat, a steering wheel, a body, some wheels, and god's own engine. But a McIntosh sound system, a supercharger and engine built with such precision tolerences...
Hey I might be wrong, the engine block from the GT is the same as the F150 right?
