Well, I asked Carson Toyota guys for a quote...
But, I don't think I have much choice if they can't get it...

The shipping isn't that bad.
$240 for the part + $60 for shipping...

I bought a few small things, like clocks, T-shirts, etc. Shipping on those are not that bad. But bigger items might not be a good idea.

did you guys ask what kind of shipping they use though. as far as i know they use air freight, which means a lot faster than the boat, at least 1 months faster, usually more.

don't just look at the amount, you need to understand what's behind it

Indirectly...

I use Sigma Automotive to get my JDM Prius footwell lighting kit. He can probably hook you up with whatever you want with for the GX. Also, he ships in bulk not by order to save on shipping costs so you basically order and he won't ask the supplier to ship until the deadline so depending on how close you are to the deadline, it may or may not come in the time frame you expect. The deadline is posted on the left column of the page.

that's what i heard about them too. i never got stuff from them, but people i know who dealt with them had nothing but good to say about them. higher price on shipping, but it's air shipped so you pay the price for better service and much faster dilvery

Right.. sorry, didn't see that you were in CA. Yeah, then Carson would work. They're a bit more expensive (at least Prius parts were when I compared) but then you probably can pick it up so you save on shipping anyway.
