Poll time.
Which of the following 3 rims do you think look better on the SL? Mine is black on black by the way.
1-Lowenhart LDR in chrome
2-Lowenhart LDR in black in chrome lip
3-Lowenhart LD5 in chrome

Out of the 3 you listed, I'd pick the 3rd, I don't think the LDR matches the car at all. In fact I think they look worse than the SC pie plates in chrome IMHO.

Not really feeling the "full face" LD1 wheels on the SL... they just look like they've been "done" before (they have). The 5-spoke LowenHart is clean, but somehow I feel like I've seen this wheel on every 300C out there (except in 22"). I think there are several replicas of this wheel.
I know many still consider black wheels "cool," but I think this finish has "jumped the shark."
From 25 feet away, all black-center wheels look the same to me - and visually, they look smaller than a wheel with a lighter colored "face."
Do they offer either of those with a machined face/chrome lip? That would be killer on a black SL!
Make sure you go with a nice fat lip & aggressive offset on the back of the SL.
20x11 with 305/25-20 is 'the nuts' on that car!

The 20" LM is 20x8.5 + 20x9.5 but requires spacers to fit properly. Too bad!
I like Peter's old SL55... not really a 5-spoke, not really a full face. Brushed centers/chrome outers.

Yeah I have to agree with guys above, I wouldn't choose any of the ones you listed. Those Lowenharts are so replicated it cheapens the wheel itself and makes them look outdated. If thats the wheel you like though handle it and roll cha gangsta lean and enjoy the sun.
