What was your first car??
Of course, we all drive Lexus today. I do wonder what was your first car? How did you like it? Any good/bad story that happened in or around it?
My first car was a 1979 Ford Fairmont V6. My dad bought it used and later handed it down to me. It looked like a tank, drove like a tank, and sounded like a tank. It had a front bench seat - the perfect datemobile.
It needed repair about once a month for this and that. Though the repair on Ford was cheap. Amazingly the Motorcraft battery lasted 8 years, and was stilled cranking when we junked the car. (The rear suspension was broken by a pothole. Too expensive to fix.)
The Fairmont in the picture isn't mine, but it's the same color. Mine had a tan vinyl roof. I found this gem a few years ago.

It was basically the perfect car for me. Bought it for $4000 and paid extra attention to it. I washed and detail my car all the time. It was in top shape. The engine noise is quieter than my GS400 too. I wish I still have that car
I like it more than my GS400. If I could find one just like it, but in 94-95, i'd sell my GS and get that instead. Too bad the ones I find have too many miles by now

This one isn't mine, but it's a white 1987 Ford Tempo just like mine.
It was a P-O-S. This car is the anti chick magnet. I was the 2nd owner (1st being an old lady who had maintainence records) and this car died on me at 78,000. Parents bought it for me at 40k miles and it broke down on me ever since it's death. The only time I was ever happy with this car was getting it on for the first time in it and the day it was towed from my driveway for good. This car handles like a shopping cart and makes my Toyota Camry LE handle like a sports car. The interior was as cheap as they come. This is why I'll never buy Ford again.

I had Golf II as my first car... I liked it alot, but I didnt spend money to maintain it properly so I had to spend a lot of money to fix it. I always had towing rope, and starter cables in my trunk :-)

1964 Plymouth Barracuda. It was six years old when I got it. Piston rings were gone, used oil, and the brakes didn't last too long...otherwise reliable.
