Default 2008 Mitsubishi Evo X Spy Photo's

The spies at over at Priddy & Co. were fruitful on their hunt earlier today as they picked off what appears to be a prototype of the upcoming Mitsubishi Evo X. Details are slim right now, but we know that the Evo X will debut in the 2008 Model Year, and is based off the GS Platform also used on the current Dodge Caliber. Rumors are that this iteration of the Evo will feature more than 300 horsepower, and will be put on a diet resulting in a curb weight significantly less than that of the current Evo. We’ll keep you posted as more details surface on this next generation import hot rod.

From what I can barely see this Gen looks to be nicer looking.

Whats with the mean frowning tail lights of late???

Excellent masking job. I can't see squat!

Mistsubishi will need to step up the designs of its future lineup. The revised Eclipse
was not a big hit like they were banking on.

Mazda called ... they're a little upset about the profile.

It'll be a fine car - but nothing outstanding - just like all of Mitsu's cars.

Lines on the side remind me of the Acura TL. Looks like it'll remain faithfull to the concept.

All I see is a hefty bag... except for the parts they wanted me to see...(ie: the doors.)

Werd. Thats the first thing I noticed as well.

I think if it looks very close to the concept, then they might have a hit on there hands. They need the Lancer to be a success in every way possible.

No, and I'd take an STi way before the Evo so I probably never will. But that has more to do w/ Mitsubishi's failing dealer network than it does anything else.

We'll see how this car looks and performs once it's out. But I'm not holding my breath - re: current eclipse.

Most comparisons I see show the STi barely edging out the evo, but they are very similar. I've also read many "experts" saying that Mitsu's AWD system is the best in the business.

(everything else they make is pretty boring though)
